Pendleton Pickleball

Pendleton's most dependable pickleball is indoors at the North East Tennis Center, known locally as The NET. The member owned facility has six pickleball courts and keeps year round play available through Eastern Oregon heat, winter cold, and windy afternoons.

The scene is compact but easy to enter. Two public drop in sessions anchor the week, nonmembers can join for a modest daily fee, and members can reserve court time outside those rotations. That makes The NET useful for both a solo player seeking partners and a group that wants a predictable court.

Pickleball lessons

The NET does not currently publish a standing pickleball lesson series. Its Monday and Thursday sessions are open to anyone who wants to play, and the social format gives beginners a practical place to learn court flow after they understand scoring and basic rules.

Players seeking focused private or group instruction can use the Coaches section. A quiet reserved court at The NET also gives a coach and student room to work without relying on outdoor weather.

Pickleball events

Monday midday and Thursday evening drop in sessions are the backbone of organized play in Pendleton. Monday is a compact two hour window that suits casual daytime players. Thursday offers more than three hours, giving the rotation time to build and making it the better choice for players who want several games after work.

The NET also hosts special events and tournaments, including a 2026 Hall of Fame fundraiser tournament. Its six court layout can support team formats and a full field more comfortably than a small park setup. The regular drop in schedule remains the reliable weekly community gathering.

Visitors

A solo visitor has the best chance of immediate games during one of The NET's two drop in windows. Monday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. is convenient for a daytime stop, while Thursday from 4:45 to 8 p.m. fits a longer evening session. The $10 nonmember fee covers the visit.

Travelers staying several weeks can use the three month membership, priced at $50 per month for one person or $75 per month for a family. It includes tennis and pickleball access. Short stay groups can reserve the full facility, and visitors who join a member outside public play pay the $10 daily guest fee. The indoor courts are especially valuable during Round Up season, when a fixed session is easier to build into a busy Pendleton itinerary.
